Dear DIBF members and Deaf Sports Federations,
This is to inform you that there will be 3 DIBF events in 2026 and 2027. There are 2026 U21 World Deaf Basketball Championships, 2026 DIBF 3×3 World Cup, and 2027 World Deaf Basketball Championships.
There is a new procedure for filling out the host bid application. In the past, DIBF handled the host bid application process and reviewed the application forms.
Starting now, you will need to go through the ICSD website and click the last tab – ICSD. You need to scroll down to the Forms and click it. You will see the Host Bid Application. Once you click the Host Bid Application, you will see three events and they are:
2026 DIBF 3×3 World Cup – The deadline for submitting the application is 30 January 2025.
2026 U21 World Deaf Basketball Championships – The deadline for submitting the application is 30 January 2025.
2027 World Deaf Basketball Championships – The deadline for submitting the application is 30 June 2025.
After you complete the host bid application form, the ICSD will send the application form to the DIBF office for the DIBF Board to review the application and contact you to follow up with your application.
