After the success of our Youth Clinic in Bolivia, we continued the journey in Eldorado, Argentina, gathering a fantastic group of boys and girls between 14 and 18 years old for three days of basketball, learning, and community.
Day 1 began with a technical meeting alongside the Argentine coaches to set the plan for the days ahead. Before stepping on the court, the players received special FIBA Basketball for Good T-shirts, a gesture that was met with excitement and gratitude. Training then kicked off with the advanced group, who showed their skills through drills on dribbling, passing, shooting, and movement. The day ended on a high note with a surprise birthday celebration for DIBF Secretary General James DeStefano.
On Day 2, the morning started with a seminar about DIBF, covering its history, operations, and upcoming events. Training followed, with Argentine coaches leading sessions on dribbling, passing, and shooting from different spots on the court. After lunch, participants enjoyed a short bus tour around Eldorado, taking in the city’s green scenery and the river that connects Argentina and Paraguay. The afternoon focused on team movements, 2-on-1 drills, and a practice match, while the evening concluded with an informative seminar on CADES, the Argentine Deaf Sports Confederation.

The final day was dedicated to more intense training, with personalized coaching aimed at improving dribbling and shooting speed. Players then moved into small-sided games, including 2v1 and 3v2 matchups, before wrapping up with a three-team practice game. The clinic closed with a special ceremony where every participant received a certificate of participation, a souvenir, and the chance to take part in a memorable group photo.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to FIBA Basketball for Good, the city of Eldorado, FABS, and CADES for their outstanding local support in making this clinic a success.
