
Tokyo, Japan – On 22 November 2025, DIBF held an Information Sharing Meeting at the Ota-City General Gymasium with 35 attendess. The purpose of the meeting was to revie past activites, discuss future plans, and focus on promoting deaf youth athletes, deaf women’s basketball, and deaf referees.
The session highlighted the importance of strengthening development pathways for young deaf athletes, ensuring they have access to quality training, resources, and competition opportunities. Attendees also emphasized the growing momentum in women’s basketball and the need for continued support to raise visibility and participation worldwide.



A key part of the discussion centered on improving technology and media within DIBF events. Participants explored ways to enhance livestream quality, integrate real-time statistics, expand social media coverage, and develop more accessible digital content for the deaf community. The goal is to boost global engagement, provide clearer communication, and showcase athletes and competitions more effectively.
Additionally, DIBF leaders provided updates on upcoming international events, new initiatives to improve referee education, and collaborations with national federations. The meeting concluded with an open discussion, allowing participants to share ideas, challenges, and recommendations to help guide DIBF’s direction for the coming years.
