The Deaf International Basketball Federation (DIBF) is proud to host the 2026 DIBF World Referee 3×3 and 5×5 Clinics at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, from 7–12 April 2026.

Eligibility

Referees eligible to register include:

  • DIBF Referees who served during the 2022–2026 term
  • New Deaf Referees from around the world
  • All DIBF and Deaf Referees must submit:
    • A valid national referee license
    • The Individual Referee Information Form

Maximum Number of Participants

  • Up to 20 participants

Certification & Graduation

Participants who complete the clinic will receive:

  • DIBF Referee Certification
  • DIBF Referee License (A/B) for the 2026–2030 term, eligible for:
    • Summer Deaflympics
    • World Championships
    • U21 World Championships
    • Regional Championships
    • Regional Cups
    • 3×3 DIBF World Cups

Participation Fee & Program Schedule

Referees may select one of the following clinic options. Each participation plan includes accommodation, transportation, registration, evaluation, and certification.

Plan A: 3×3 Referee Clinic

Date: 7–9 April 2026

Particpation Fee: $300 USD

Includes:

  • 2 nights of room and board
  • Transportation
  • Registration
  • Evaluation
  • Certification

Program Schedule:

  • 7 April 2026: Arrival, check-in, and opening session
  • 7–9 April 2026: 3×3 clinic sessions, evaluations, exam, and closing
  • 9 April 2026: Check-out and departures

Plan B: 5×5 Referee Clinic

Date: 9–12 April 2026

Particpation Fee: $350 USD

Includes:

  • 3 nights of room and board
  • Transportation
  • Registration
  • Evaluation
  • Certification

Progam Schedule:

  • 9 April 2026: Arrival, check-in, and opening session
  • 9–12 April 2026: 5×5 clinic sessions, evaluations, and exam
  • 12 April 2026: Closing session, check-out, and departures

Plan C: Combined 3×3 & 5×5 Referee Clinics
