Yasmin and Wafaa En Noqobi delivered an inspiring talk on their basketball journey and their commitment to giving back to their home country through the establishment of a girls’ basketball program. They reflected on their personal experiences and emphasized how early involvement in sports shaped their understanding of the importance of opportunity and representation for young girls.
Motivated by a strong desire to create lasting change, they are currently developing a four-year plan to build and sustain the program with the support of a dedicated committee in Morocco. Although they anticipate challenges, their passion and determination continue to drive their efforts to make a meaningful impact.
They also underscored the value of support from those who believed in their vision, highlighting the powerful moment it will be when the first group of girls steps onto the court. To aspiring leaders, they offered thoughtful advice: start small, remain true to your purpose, be patient with the process, and never underestimate the power of believing in your vision.
