Building the future together: DIBF meets FIBA in Switzerland

Deaf International Basketball Federation (DIBF) President Ioannis Stoufis and Secretary General James DeStefano, together with Sapiential Sports & Entertainment Consultant Victor Mansure, recently visited FIBA Headquarters in Mies, Switzerland. They were warmly welcomed by Secretary General Andreas Zagklis and National Federations and Sports Senior Manager Kosta Iliev, as well as several directors from FIBA departments, during which constructive discussions were held on the future development of DIBF and opportunities for closer collaboration with FIBA.

Several technical Improvements were discussed, with deep dives into FIBA Foundation upcoming clinics, 2025 Deaflympics, 2026 U21 World Deaf Championship, 2026 DIBF 3×3 World Cup, 2027 World Championship, Referee Clinic, Coaching Clinic, DIBF Zones, DIBF 2025-2027 Priorities, Budgeting, Potential Sponsors, and future MoU.
