DIBF Welcome Jeffrey Salit as Deputy Secretary General

The Deaf International Basketball Federation (DIBF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Salit as DIBF Deputy Secretary General, effective 3 August 2026 through June 2027.
DIBF Secretary General James DeStefano proudly welcomes Mr. Salit to the DIBF Executive Committee team. Mr. Salit brings decades of outstanding experience in deaf sports administration and a strong commitment to the advancement of deaf athletes and international competition.
Mr. Salit has served the USA Deaf Sports Federation (USADSF) in numerous leadership roles. He was Team Leader for three Deaflympics—Taipei 2009, Sofia 2013, and Russia 2015—providing invaluable leadership and support to Team USA. He also served as USADSF Vice President from 2001 to 2016, before being appointed USADSF President in 2017.
A passionate advocate for deaf sports, Mr. Salit founded USA Deaf Baseball in 1995 and held several leadership positions, including Treasurer and Vice President, from 1995 to 2001. His longstanding dedication to developing opportunities for deaf athletes has earned him widespread respect throughout the deaf sports community.
