Draw results for the Deaflympics Basketball Tournament Tokyo 2025 confirmed

The draw for the Deaflympics Basketball Tournaments Tokyo 2025 was held on Tuesday afternoon in Tokyo, Japan. ICSD President Adam Kosa opened the ceremony by welcoming the guests and representatives of national federations. ICSD Vice President Yutaka Osugi was also in attendance. ICSD Basketball Director, Dario Pignataro, joined the draw ceremony via livestream, explaining the draw procedures and collaborating with Mr. Kosa and Mr. Osugi throughout the event.

A total of 23 teams (12 men’s and 11 women’s teams) discovered their exciting paths toward the gold medals. The basketball tournaments of the 2025 Deaflympics will take place at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, from 16 to 25 November 2025. The groups were drawn as follows:

Men’s Basketball

Group A: Argentina, Ukraine, Japan, Israel

Group B: Poland, Venezuela, Lithuania, Chinese Taipei

Group C: Canada, Greece, Australia, United States

Women’s Basketball

Group A: Kenya, Lithuania, Italy, Australia

Group B: Greece, Ukraine, Japan

Group C: Chinese Taipei, Türkiye, United States, Poland
